From the very first emails with Colleen I knew theses two were a perfect fit for us!! She wrote me an epic tale of she and Justin’s love story in the way only Colleen can and I laughed my way through every twist and turn… especially her description of their first date in high school – which was a double date that the guys surprised the ladies with their plans. They were invited to a “night of luxury” and told to “dress to impress.” The guys rolled up to her house in a Honda Odyssey at 7pm sharp as the ladies anxiously awaited the location of their date. You guessed it….
Taco Bell!
In Justin’s words, “This is the best idea we’ve literally ever had.” hahaha
But this was no normal date at Taco Bell… instead they were greeted at the door by Justin’s little brother, who was dressed in a full suit with a towel on his arm – waiting to take them to their table – which was set with fine china, silverware, flowers, cloth napkins and sparkling grape juice. His brother then took their orders and walked up to the front to order for them. In a crazy twist of fate – one of the cashiers happened to be an aspiring opera singer and serenaded them during their meal. Yes. That happened!! The ladies were a bit more totally mortified by everyone seeing them in their “fine dining” Taco Bell experience than they were totally impressed, however. haha.
You may assume that point on it was happily ever after for these two, but instead they became best friends (with an emphasis on BEST) and it wasn’t until 4 years later after their sophomore year of college that they started officially dating… and the rest – as they say – is history. These two are such a JOY to be around and we couldn’t have had more fun with their longtime group of friends who kept us laughing the whole day!! Colleen and Justin never take themselves too seriously and like all awesome people – they can often get so overwhelmed with happiness that they get choked up and the tears start to flow (which meant that I was basically crying off and on through their whole day because you know if they’re crying – I’m crying)!!!
Anyway – this has gotten much too long and you all are probably just itching to get to the photos already!! So let’s do this thing! 🙂 Here are some of my favorite moments from their amazing day!!!
Colleen & Justin ~ Thank you a million times over for having us be a part of your day! You guys were seriously one of the most FUN groups we’ve ever had the joy to spend the day with and I know that your life will absolutely be FULL of laughter from here onward!
