Stitch Fix Review ~ Month 6

Happy Monday, beautiful people!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and stayed nice and warm! ๐Ÿ™‚

I got my 6th Stitch Fix in the mail on Saturday, which means I need your help narrowing down what to keep and what to send back ASAP – since I have to get this in the mail soon! I took a little break from getting any deliveries from Stitch Fix over the holidays (because lord knows I did enough shopping for myself when I should have been shopping for others! haha) – so it was fun to see this happy little box come in the mail this weekend!

I had mentioned in the notes to my stylist that we are heading to San Francisco to shoot an engagement session in late February and I would love some pieces that work well for being a tourist there this time of year. Overall, I’m really happy with my Fix and think my stylist, Logan, did a great job “getting”ย me and my style! ๐Ÿ™‚

But enough chatter from me – let’s get to the five pieces they sent!!

Piece 1: Market & Spruce – Light Gray Benzer Mixed Material Sweater

First Impression: I was excited to see this in my Fix when I pulled it out! I’m a big fan of gray (since I have lots of bright accessories to top it off with), but was curious how this pretend layered look would work…

Final Thoughts: I think I like it! I don’t know?! What do you guys think?

Piece 2: Octavia – Blue Gilbert Houndstooth Knit Infinity Scarf

First Impression: Oooo! Pretty!! It is super soft and I’m kind of a sucker for houndstooth.

Final Thoughts: Again – I think I like it?! I don’t know – what do you guys think? I like that it is an infinity scarf because those type of scarves are so no-fuss and always lay properly. Plus, I’m totally obsessed with scarves, so there’s that.

Piece 3: Kut from the Kloth – Black Denna Skinny Jean

First Impression: Oh no they didn’t! I’m a sucker for skinny pants of all kinds. Ah!

Final Thoughts: I know these pants will last and wear well (since I have the gray cords from this same brand!), and I think the fit is spot on. Plus, they will be nice to dress up outfits if I want something other than jeans to wear… Thoughts?

Piece 4: Splendid – Olive Shea Cowl Neck Thermal Top

First Impression: LOVE the color and fabric (also happen to be a sucker for thermal tops/henleys/etc.), so I was stoked upon first glimpse, but was nervous once I pulled it out and held it open… it seemed pretty drape-y which made me iffy.

Final Thoughts: This is way too big on me. Right? I get that it is supposed to be loose, but this is just huge… Bummer because I would have loved this color and fabric in another silhouette.

Piece 5: Mavi – Navy Kalie Denim Jacket

First Impression: Hmmm. I’m not sure I can pull off a denim jacket (though I did own a super faded one in college – lol)!

Final Thoughts: It is pretty tiny. I think it looks good open, but should I be able to button it…? Because, I can’t. haha. I wasn’t sure about this whole denim jacket thing, then made the mistake of going to Pinterest and typing in “Denim Jacket” and found all these women rocking denim jackets and it kind of made me want one, but I’m not sure this is the one (or if it fits)…. unless not ever buttoning a jacket is normal? haha.

So that’s it, guys!! Tell me your thoughts!! I’m really on the fence about most of this month’s Fix – I could go either way – so help a girl out!! I’m forever thankful!! ๐Ÿ˜‰ xoxo

  • Emilia Jane - I actually love the loose olive sweater! I think it’s perfect for loungey wear and work from home all day ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

  • Carla Woepse - I love the first three items for sure! Plus, that scarf is SO you! ๐Ÿ™‚ Beautiful!ReplyCancel

  • Rebecca - YES! To everything you liked–scarf, gray layered top, black pants. Love them all!ReplyCancel

  • Nora - Stitch Fix sent me one of those pre-layered shirts and I had to keep it or else be forced to forfeit my $20 deposit because nothing else in the fix fit me at all. At first I thought it was kind of tacky but I was TOTALLY wrong. It’s a weird concept at first but I can’t tell you how many Saturdays I have felt so gross and thrown on that shirt and it immediately gives your outfit a little bit of style and intention. I am really glad I kept it! Also the scarf is AMAZING.ReplyCancel

  • Heather Stephany Gerard - The first 3 items I say keep. At the very least, keep the scarf and jeans. Kut from the Kloth jeans do last forever!ReplyCancel

  • Tricia Clarke - I think it’s all cute. YOu don’t need to be able to button the jean jacket–and you can wear it with the rest of the items. The layered shirt is actually really clever and flattering. I don’t LOVE the olive shirt, but if you feel comfy and would feel good in it, then keep it. You are so cute–and now I am buying a pair of those pants!ReplyCancel

  • Sylvia - Keep the pants, scarf and jacket. Don’t really like the way the sweaters look on you.ReplyCancel

  • Natira - Love the Scarf!!!!! The pants and the jacket are my favorites.ReplyCancel

  • Lauren Truelock - I love the pants! I have a pair of black ones I wear religiously. I love the scarf too. And the grey sweater is super cute and versatile. I feel like you could find a jean jacket at like old navy for much cheaper. And I’m with you on the green sweater. ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

  • Andrea Wulff-Deno - Ha! Here I am to chime-in again on a Stitch Fix. Ok, here is my 2 cents: The first sweater, personally I have never been a fan of faux layered sweaters-and I’m not sure how the fit is on you. Maybe it would lay better once it’s steamed out? But I don’t prefer the look of this one, just my opinion. The scarf, of course, keep it!! It’s cute, not scratchy, and you are a self-professed scarf addict–no brainer! haha The Kut jeans, keep!! The fit is perfect, Kuts last forever and a day, and these can do so many looks! The olive sweater, again, I am not a fan of baggy fit tops, if they are a baggier type fit, they need some sort of shape to them so you can still look put together–also not sure about the hem length on it??? The denim jacket is cute–but if you can’t button it send it back and nab one at Gap or Old Navy–I have a few denim fitted jackets that I love for spring–one from Gap one from Old Navy. They are a classic (as long they are not in a trendy wash think 80s acid ew). Just of course, don’t pair them with matching jeans, because then you look like Jay Leno did your styling haha!ReplyCancel

  • Amy Stroo - I like the grey layered sweater the best, and it looks cute with the jacket layered over it. The moss colored top is ok, but I think it is too big or not shaped right. The pants look nice on you. I am jealous. My last stitch fix was awful.I only do it once in a blue moon, but normally it is pretty good. I specifically said, I have enough leggings and skinny jeans, I would like long tunic type shirts to go with them. I am pretty sure they didn’t even read it. They didn’t send me one tunic. Sent me outrageously expensive pants, and everything was so hideously ugly, I was shocked. I bought one cardigan just because I cannot handle letting that 20 bucks go to waste.ReplyCancel

  • jacqueline - Be cautious about that grey sweater. What is it made out of? If there’s poly in it, it’s going to pill in 2 seconds. If it’s all natural fibers, then it is worth keeping.

The scarf and cords are cute and keepers. I actually think the olive sweater is perfect. I would wear it that large and drapey myself. But that denim jacket is way too tight.ReplyCancel

  • Jen Jar - Scarf and pants YES!!! I have a problem with buying lots of houndstooth items lolReplyCancel

  • Terri Crane Weinstein - 1 maybe… 2 & 3 yes! 4 & 5 forget it! ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

  • Viktรณria Johnson - I’d keep the first three as well. The olive thermal top is my least favorite. I like the idea of the denim jacket and it looks great on you open, don’t button it though ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

  • Viktรณria Johnson - I’d keep the first three. The olive thermal top is my least favorite. The denim jacket also looks great, but don’t button it. LOVE the grey sweater with the layered look.ReplyCancel

  • Greta Ford - I have the Benzer sweater in burgundy and LOVE IT!!!! Love the heather gray, and looks great on you. KEEP it! ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

  • Fay Coleman - My first thought concerning your entire fix is, “Do they have her sleeve length right?” Looks like your arms are long and the sleeve lengths (especially on the first sweater) are too short. Perhaps most persons who are your size are shorter? First sweater: Looks too short, like a petite size on a tall person. Scarf: Wow! That’s a beautiful color and pattern and will look great with those new jeans. You are small, so you may or may not like your scarves that bulky. Jeans: Perfect! Olive top: The back looks good in a loose drapey relaxed way, however, the front looks too big under the arms and in the stomach area. Denim jacket: I think the sleeves are an inch too short, the back looks okay, I agree that maybe a jacket needs to be able to close. Hope this helps!ReplyCancel

  • Sara - I’m not sold on the Grey sweater, depends on the price. The jeans and scarf are bangin. The olive sweater lays poorly on you from the back.ReplyCancel

  • GpStudio Wax - I love all the pieces! I’m waiting for my first shipment. I hope my stylist gets that this is my casual style also.ReplyCancel
