Stitch Fix Review ~ Month 4!

Hey friends!! I got my 4th Stitch Fix in the mail yesterday and I must say – it was significantly better than last month’s! Yay! I love that you can give them feedback after each month and get better results the longer you use the service.

Anyway,ย I need your help!! Tell me what you love, and what you think I should send back! I have you all to thank (along with Stitch Fix, obviously) for my more well-rounded wardrobe lately! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Piece #1: Kut From The Kloth Jonathon Corduroy Grey Skinny Pant

First Impression: I was super excited to find some grey cords in this month’s shipment and couldn’t wait to try them on!

Final Thoughts: These are SUPER comfy, and stretchy – and so great for the fall season! My only worry is that they are a bit big in the waist/hips. (I realize they don’t look that way in the photo, but I can easily fit an entire fist between the waistband and my waist.) Because they are stretchy I worry a little that they may be the kind of pants you buy thinking they fit perfectly and then they stretch waaaay out once you’ve started to wear them in. Thoughts?!

Piece #2: Fun2Fun Chandra Plaid Sleeveless Blouse

First Impression: I didn’t know what to think, to be honest. I didn’t really have any feelings either way. The pattern was interesting and I was curious to see how it would fit.

Final Thoughts: I actually think it fits really well, and could be cute? It is very “fall” because of the colors and pattern, but obviously would need to be worn under a cardigan or blazer given the cool weather. I don’t know! What do you think? I’m kind of on the fence with this, which makes me think I should send it back, because I’m afraid I wouldn’t wear it enough to get my money’s worth!

Piece #3: Tart Kaylie Solid French Terry Blazer

First Impression: I was happy to see a cute cover-up in this shipment, but didn’t love the fabric of this blazer. It is basically sweatshirt material, so I was a little worried how it would fit. (And it has shoulder pads!?!)

Final Thoughts: I don’t know! I just don’t really love it… I guess? The fabric and shoulder pad combo… just… ehhhh….? I normally would be all about a blazer, but didn’t love how unstructured this is…

Piece #4: Andrew Marc Neve Fit and Flare Tweed V-Neck Dress

First Impression: Oooo! Something I could possibly wear to shoot weddings! And I would never normally buy something with the leather accents, but this might be fun!

Final Impression: This IS fun! I actually (surprisingly) really liked this dress. It fit pretty much perfectly, and is really great for work wear. I could also wear it elsewhere – maybe holiday parties, or somewhere fun since it isn’t just a plain black work dress (like most of my work dresses lately). I’m used to wearing more fitted sheath dresses on the bottom, but the A-line might be nice to have more room to move on wedding days. Thoughts?

Piece #5: Leota Darrah Chain Print Belted 3/4 Sleeve Faux Wrap Dress

First Impression: Man, they looove to send me wrap dresses! haha. Seriously though.

Final Thoughts: It fits like a glove and is super comfy, but I’m just not sure about this color/pattern?! (I’m starting to realize I’m not a huge pattern person, now that I think about it. My wardrobe is basically solids and stripes. haha)

  • Amber Marlow - I’m with you on everything, except the wrap dress. It’s awesome! Keep it for diversity in your wardrobe. ReplyCancel

  • Nicole Lender - Loveee the pants and the v-neck dress on you!! ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

  • Elissa - I love that v-neck dress. Keep it!! I’m not a huge fan of items 2 and 3… and the wrap dress is a great fit and very form-flattering but I agree with you on the pattern. It’s a bit much for me and I don’t really see it as “Christy.” And I really do hope that the cords are a good fit because they look really good on you ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

  • Carla Woepse - LOVE that purple dress! And it’s perfect for weddings like you said!ReplyCancel

  • Lauren Fair - the maroon dress is awesome! and love the cords, super versatile! ReplyCancel

  • Stacey Long - I think the pants look too big, skinny fit shouldnt have that much bulkiness at the knees. I like the plaid shirt but think if you wore it after Jan. it would just look odd. No to the blazer. LOVE the tweed dress. Love the way the wrap dress fits you but hate the pattern. ReplyCancel

  • Elizabeth Nord - Love #3 and #4! Both super cute for weddings too! ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

  • Amanda Miller - Yes to the dress with the leather accents! Yes yes yes!ReplyCancel

  • Sylvia - Love the pants, but if they are a stretchy material, then don’t keep them if they are already a little big because it gets bigger and you wear them throughout the day. The top I do like. The jacket not so much. The first dress looks great on you. Second one not so much. That is my opinion!ReplyCancel

  • Sarah Hoppes - I love the wrap dress! I think you should keep the pants, the purple dress, and the wrap dress. ReplyCancel

  • Andrea Wulff-Deno - Ok I’ll throw in my 2 cents-because I’m sitting here in my office on a Friday…aaand anyway…. I love KUT denim, I have some KUT jeans that I think will last an eternity, and I have a pair of their cords too. KUT denim does stretch out…I was always a ‘do not put my good denim in the dryer’ kind of girl…but figured out my KUTs could use the dryer, and afterwards they fit like a glove. My cords are a different style (and less stretchy fabric) so mine fit super snug. I wonder if the pair you received would fit you in a size smaller??? I hate waist gap, I’m surprised these are doing that since KUTs are actually made to for a woman’s body-you know with a waist and hips, rather than an adolescent body. So that is why I think maybe these are a size too big for you. The top is so-so. I like the colors though, very cute! I’m not a fan of sleeveless woven fabric tops, I find them uncomfortable–but that’s just my weird thing, maybe. haha The knit blazer, I agree with you, why make a blazer out of knit? The purple dress is a keeper! You can wear for a lot of things and it’s super cute on you! And finally…as soon as I saw the last photo I knew what you were going to say about it LOL It looks gorgeous on you! But, I think wrap dresses and patterned fabrics are just not your thing, as in you just don’t tend to like them…so send that dress to me ๐Ÿ˜‰ ReplyCancel

  • Paulette - No to the first 3 but YES on the purple dress. It looks fabulous on you!ReplyCancel

  • Megan - Christy, the plaid top with the blazer is super cute, and that purple dress…. I love it! I just got my second Stitch Fix package yesterday, and while I haven’t tried anything on yet, this one might be my dud ๐Ÿ™ BUT, your post has given me hope that the next will be better! I too, have a knit blazer in grey that I just don’t know about, but after seeing it on you, I may have to give it the benefit of the doubt.ReplyCancel

  • Serena - For sure #4 is a keeper! #1 seems too baggy around the knees and #2,3,5 don’t seem to stand out all that much for me.ReplyCancel

  • Allyson Fielder - I exchanged a dress last month for a different size with no issues. Just e-mailed them pleading for a different size – they had it – sent back original dress – received new dress two days later!ReplyCancel

  • Debi Ford - I love the wrap dress and it looks great on you ! As far as the pants, they look good but if they are that loose and you can put your hand in them then they will slide down and be very uncomfortable to wear. I found that when I received a pair of Kensi jeans too big. I wore them just a little while and found because I had 2-3″ too big at the waist they slid down. Very uncomfortable. ReplyCancel

  • Patti Puaokalani - I own the Kut Cords. They don’t stretch that much, but if you can fit your fist in between, Then there to big.

  • Maggie - I love the plaid top on you. It’s very flattering and the colors are so current. Cords are great as well. Would a belt help?ReplyCancel

  • Carla Schindler Bossard - Both dresses look great!ReplyCancel

  • Tara Milar - I really like your fixes? Who is your stylist?ReplyCancel

    • Christy - Hi Tara!! I’m not sure! I didn’t keep my info tag from my fixes, so I couldn’t tell you at the moment who styled me, but I think it was different each time! I’ll let you know when I get my next fix & have an answer for you! ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel
