Well, we had a nice little holiday break and now I’m so ready to dive in and show you guys all the beautiful winter weddings we shot this December!
And I especially can’t wait to share this wedding with you guys!! Kelly and Drew are so much fun, and threw the most classically beautiful winter wedding in Chicago a few weeks ago!
Kelly’s Greek and Croatian family + Drew’s Irish family threw one epic party …laughing, eating, drinking, and dancing the night away! They started the party out with some amazing traditional Greek dances (which I have never seen before – but absolutely fell in love with about 2 seconds into Kelly’s 90+ year-old Grandpa leading the dance! – Amazing!), and by the time we left for the night the dance floor was so packed that we couldn’t even get to it because it was overflowing with people!
Kelly and Drew are so great together and are always keep the other smiling and laughing. (If you have any doubt – check out their first dance photos to “I Would Walk 500 Miles” for proof! So fun!) They root each other on in all they do, are so down to earth & fun to be around… and James & I are so happy to call them friends!
I could talk forever about how not one detail was overlooked in this stunning winter white & gray wedding – but I’ll just let you see for yourselves! Also – Kelly’s dress? I’m obsessed!!! But again – go see for yourself!
Kelly & Drew ~ Thank you for having James and I be a part of your day and welcoming us with open arms into your amazing family celebration! You & your loved ones were so fabulous to us from start to finish (I think that was the most full I’ve ever been after a wedding! That food was unbelievable! Thank you!), and we had so much fun spending the day documenting your beautiful wedding, and hanging out with your family/friends!! James was actually photographing the ladies with me for a change at the start of the day – and I love this shot he managed to snag of Kelly coming down the stairs for the first time all dressed up at her parents’ house!

Have a fabulous weekend everybody! Since we finished our last wedding of the year last weekend and don’t have another until mid-April… it is officially off-season, which means weekends are actually weekends around here for a change! It’s going to feel a bit weird, but I plan on doing my best to embrace it by watching the Packers in the playoffs tomorrow! 🙂 Go Pack!!
