Becky + Andrew ~ Badger Farms Wedding ~ Wisconsin Barn Wedding Photography

Do you all remember this post I wrote about the unexpected applause? And this picture I posted on facebook from the end of the wedding day? Well – Becky & Andrew’s wedding was where that happened… 🙂 So that gives you a pretty good idea of how completely awesome these two are and how equally amazing their family and friends are as well.

I first met Becky and Andrew over some delicious beer at a pub in Madison last fall, and I liked them immediately. We hung out and chatted for so long that I totally lost track of time. (I’m pretty sure I told my sister, whose house I was staying at, that I’d be home in an hour or less… which turned into 2+ hours.) We talked about everything from politics to religion and back. After that first meeting I knew this was going to be an amazing wedding to be a part of for two people that were just my kind of people!

Becky and Andrew held their wedding at Badger Farms outside of Madison, WI, on a very rainy day in mid-October. I arrived to the hotel expecting Becky to be stressed or upset about the weather – but she was the exact opposite. She was totally relaxed and ready to marry Andrew regardless of the weather. We adjusted our photo plans and rolled with the punches – and it all went off without a hitch. The day was designed to keep their loved ones comfortable and happy… with cocktails served before and after the ceremony, yard games (moved indoors due to the rain), and the World Series projected in the reception room for those that were fans. Their ceremony was so intimate, and meaningful. (Obviously I cried through nearly the entirety of it.) They had a ‘ring warming ceremony’ before the actual ceremony began – which meant that Becky and Andrew’s rings were passed around from guest to guest – for each person to hold and warm in their hands, and say a private blessing for them and their marriage. It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen and I kind of wish I’d heard of it when we got married!

Anyway – I could talk forever about this wedding and these two – but I’ll let the photos do the talking for me.

Becky & Andrew – I hope that these photos accurately portray the beauty that was your intimate and meaningful wedding day! There was so much love surrounding you both that day – it was so beautiful to see. I cannot thank you enough for making sure we were taken care of, fed well (that Indian food was AMAZING!), and for being such amazing people all around. We send all the love in the world to you two and your awesome family/friends! xoxo ~ Christy & James

Andrew wore his grandfather’s ring for his wedding band which had its original engraving on the inside…

I loved that Becky got ready with her sister, mom, and aunt! It was so low-key and so much fun!

Then we headed to Badger Farms for a cozy First Look in the loft!

I absolutely adored this ring warming ceremony before the wedding…

Oh. My. Word. Some of the best food we’ve had all year!

Aaaaaaaand make your own caramel apples! Amazing.

Just… LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Have a fabulous weekend everybody!! I’m shooting a wedding up in Milwaukee tomorrow, and then plan to keep trucking on this editing, and hopefully get the house decorated for the holidays finally! 🙂 See you Monday!
