Client Catch Up ~ Farmhouse ~ Chicago Wedding Photographer

One of my favorite parts about what we do is that we get to form lasting relationships with our clients. I love hearing their stories… how they met… how they became engaged… and every story before, after, and in between. I love how much more truthful and honest their wedding photos are when it’s obvious I’m photographing people who are now my friends… not just clients. After their wedding, I love seeing how they grow and all the things they do… traveling, moving, enjoying life, growing their families… all of it.

Last night we were lucky enough to grab dinner with two of my awesome 2012 clients/now friends – Heather & Mark. We met up to chat, catch up after the wedding, look at some albums, and just enjoy each other’s company before they take off on their next adventure to NYC! (And nearly turn into a ball of mush/tears when they gave us the sweetest card & gift… seriously thank you Heather & Mark!)

Here are a few photos from our totally delicious dinner at Farmhouse in Chicago – which serves all locally farmed produce, meat, and craft beer. Can you say legit Wisconsin cheese curds?! Oh my word – SO. GOOD. If you haven’t been – you must go! (Please excuse the seriously horrible/dark iPhone photos!)

YAY! =D I seriously love that my job results in nights like this! Love my clients/friends!!:)

Emilia Jane - YAY! Okay I’m looking at the website and their food looks SO GOOD. Wow. We are so blessed in this industry to be able to meet such awesome people at a crucial point in their lives and then get to see their relationship blossom even further!!

Christy - Agreed Em! And their food is SO GOOD. You seriously must go! They make all their own sour mixes, etc for their drinks and are apparently big on gin. I think it is calling your name!! ;-)

Lauren (PB&G) - So sweet! That place looks pretty awesome. I’m a self-proclaimed beer snob and I LOVE local joints with craft beer!
