Heather + Ryan ~ Glacier Canyon Lodge at The Wilderness ~ Wisconsin Dells Wedding Photography

When I first met with Heather and Ryan, I have to admit that I was probably more excited than I should have been to find out that they were holding their wedding at Glacier Canyon Lodge at The Wilderness resort in Wisconsin Dells! You see, my family used to rent a cabin at The Wilderness for my mom’s birthday occasionally and the resort holds pretty fond memories for me of long walks with my mom in the gorgeous wooded area surrounding it, and staying up too late playing games and laughing with my siblings. So when Heather and Ryan booked me for their wedding, I immediately said to James… we are making a weekend out of this and going to a waterpark! (And we did.)

But how beautiful (and fun) that part of Wisconsin is besides the point. The point of this post is for me to try my best to make you guys understand how wonderful this wedding was from the inside out. Heather and Ryan, the bridal party, their family and friends… every single person I met at this wedding was so nice, so welcoming, and so much fun! Heather’s amazing mom, Carol, immediately came up to me and gave me the world’s best hug. She looked me straight in the eyes and told me she was so happy I was there to spend the day with them. Then she told me how much she loves Chloe and that she reads my blog – and …. my. heart. melted. A bride’s mom that reads my blog?! Amazing. All day Carol was checking on James and I – making sure we were well fed, had water, and were both enjoying ourselves. And as I told you in my last post about our day-after-the-wedding fun at the waterpark – that Heather & Ryan, and everybody else – made us feel like we were friends and guests rather than just another vendor.

I truly believe that the people you surround yourself with says a lot about the type of person you are. And although I already knew before the wedding what wonderful people Heather and Ryan were, it was only confirmed 10-fold when I met all the truly wonderful people they surround themselves with.

Heather and Ryan – your day was beautiful not only outwardly (those details Heather!! gorgeous!), but inwardly. Your love is such a beautiful, quiet kind of love. The kind that has been built over years together… through good times, and difficult times. It is the kind that will last a lifetime. You two are so perfect for each other, and witnessing you pledging your lives to each other forever was an honor I can’t properly put into words.

Thank you for sharing your day with us… for sharing your family… for sharing your friends … (and for sharing a few Spotted Cows at the end of the night).:) Love you two! xoxo

Stunning Heather!

Such a sweet First Look moment!

Such beautiful toasts…

I’m pretty sure Ryan had everyone in the room in tears as he tried to find the words to tell Heather what she means to him…

And then we snuck out for a few photos as the sun was setting…

I loved this last dance of the night – surrounded by the love of friends and family!
